Been cleaning out my paperwork, doing my filing yada yada yada... basically cleaning up part of my home office... and now, the table top is messy again!!! And all thanks to that time of the year where we have to sit down in front of the pc & do our taxes!! YUPZ!!! Me... doing my own taxes!!! Oh boy!!Everyone says It's Easy, Liz... Yeah, right!!! That's for people who doesn't have private health insurance!! And if they do, they don't have the company I'm using!!! I don't even get any statements from them stating all those things they were supposed to as indicated by the tax co.!! So, as soon as I've blogged, I'm going offline & calling them to get all these info which I shld have received in the first place!!! And they say they're there to help us!! BULLCRAP!!!
And for you insurance agents out there, it's not that we don't want to be your friends, it's just that we think insurance companies are bloodsuckers who want our money & don't want to pay us our rightful dues!!! And they don't help us make our life easy too!! We have to chase them for every single thing!!
Well, I can't say for other companies... but mine
- expects us to make the first payment without a payment advice!!
- sends us a notice 3 months later stating we haven't paid, when we were told we would receive the payment advice in 2 days when we first called & we could pay when it arrives, & then tells us it's our responsibility to pay up even if the papers do not come to us... errrr.... pay how much? pay to whom?! DUH!!! and then, makes us go down to their office to settle a whole lumpsum of 3.5mths of insurance cover!!
- promises the next payment advice will come before our payment due date, but tells us that it is our responsibility to pay anyway if it doesn't reach us by then!! errr... how would we know WHEN we have to pay up by if we don't have the advice?
- sends out payment advices 2 days before payment due date (when it should be at least 10 working days!!) and this happens EVERYTIME!!
- promises they will send out the payment advice 2 weeks in advance this time around (when they should have practiced it in the first place) & then, sends out our payment advice 2 days before due date anyway!! - I mean, we're not stupid you know!! We can see the postage date when the mails are sent!!! If once or twice, maybe it's the postal services, but if it's all the time, it's the insurance company's practices!!
- Sends out a letter stating they're taking more money from us & giving us lesser coverage A WHOLE MONTH before it is implemented!!! And doesn't even give us the option to change to another cover!!
Glad to say, I've already stopped that cover from the fucked-up company!! When they want our money, they're sooooooo nice to us... and then, turns back & points a finger back at us to say it's our fault for not getting the payment advice in the first place!!!
ok... I've gotta go... need to get flytix back to sgp... hhmmmmpppphhhh.... ~stupid insurance company... idiots.....~
