THE HOUSE IS IN A FREAKIN' MESS!!! And where is everyone when u needed help?! ~sigh~ Well, yeah... I told them to go home... Cos... just cos...Sis wasn't doing much, people were commenting... it was kinda an eyesore when she's out in the carpark hurrying her hubby up, while everyone was cleaning up the place!!
Mom was rushing around like a headless chook, and she really needed rest!! Poor her, i didn't even have time to dye her hair... The white hair were showing on the crown!! I dare not look!! But she was ok with it... I'm sure the one in Sgp, she'll be all black-haired again. hehe...
Just as how people have helped cleaned up the place, yes literally CLEANED it up, they were nice enough to also help earlier with the decorations.
The bloody security guards only came like 45mins late!! And then, he brought the wrong key!! Cos the actual guard was attending to something else & didn't bother telling anyone else about it!! And to think that we'll have to pay them for their services!! The venue bond better come back full price or I'll make a formal complaint!! I'm not gonna be Liza Miss (or Mrs, rather) Nice Person anymore!! Enough of that!!!
I have to thank Aunty Jan & her 2 girls with setting up all the tables & food & decorations, etc... And Masita for her butterfly gifts all the way from Sgp - they were a hit with the guests, girlfriend!! Have to send her a note later!! Oh u dunno wat I'm talking about? Well, the butterflies, along with other stuff were a part of a personal guest favour. And there were so many colours to choose from... I bet Tash & Jess picked theirs out first!! hehe...
Anyhoos... I had to do my own hair & part of the makeup within the 15mins before the door was to be opened!! Seeing that the bloody guards only pushed our timing by 1hr, starting 15mins late was quite a good feat!!
While mom was poking all the fake hair & all those squiggly things on my hair, I was screaming & screaming for them to close the freakin' door... cos I didn't want all the waiting guests to peek thru!! I was literally NOT dressed!!! SERIOUSLY!!! And Kris was in the other room with my uncle (who went missing for 30mins!!) trying to get his sarong proper!!
Anyway, everything went on well... the Imam/Qadhi/Celebrant was a tad too long & did mention some things I felt was a bit out of place, and I had received comments from guests about watever he said, but they still said it was nothing they had ever heard & did learn something from the sermon.
On the whole people wasn't expecting for it to go so smoothly... but it did... and I thank Allah for making everything possible. People always say there's a lot of challenges leading up to the wedding, but I never ever thought the challenges were heartbreakingly, backbreakingly, miserably taxing on both Kris & I.
So, let me tell u... It IS possible to get a wedding going really nicely at a really low budget, but wherever possible, DO NOT ATTEMPT TO DO IT YOURSELF!! ALWAYS ENLIST A FEW RELLIES, FRIENDS, WHOEVER CAN HELP YOU BEFORE, DURING & AFTERWARDS!!!
I've got Claire to do some of the desserts & some of the other foods... and becos she so nicely agreed & not charging me, she did all that at my place... and you can't imagine how much gunk there are in my kitchen & lounge right now!! So, I stress again, DO NOT ATTEMPT TO DO IT YOURSELF!!! Nor get someone to do it in your own kitchen!!
You may not believe it, but I had only 1hr sleep the night of the eve of my wedding... and only 30mins sleep on the eve of my wedding!!! And now that everyone's gone back at it's way past midnight, do u know I still can't sleep!! While everyone's home & snuggled up in their beds... the Bridezilla have to clean up after everyone!! And it ain't a joke!!!
And to think my parents, sis & uncle will be here at 8am to get Kris & I to drive them to Margaret River!! And everyone had nicely HELPED dump stuff everywhere!!! ARGH!!!!
ok ok... calm yourself!! You have a long night ahead!! Nobody better push me around when they get up!! Or they'll get a nasty bite!!
