So, it seems I haven't posted anything for a little bit over a week, heck nearly 2 weeks!! Nothing much have been occuring here...For now, I'm thinking why can't I think of anything to type... but the fact that I'm eating my fave Coles Cheese Puffs just means I can't type & just can't think of anything esle except to finish the entire pack!!
~incessantly long pause~
ok... so, there's no more cheesepuffs left... not even a fleck of cheese dust! So, what should I start with?
The Friday before last (02.06.06)
Kris took the day off from work cos he needed a rest, plus we also needed to go have a look at that venue down the road. Kris was really happy with the place & things provided. The kitchen was big enough for us to put all the replenishing stock & all extra food preparation, plus there was a huge fridge for the ice-cream & other desserts.
We're just praying for a nice spring day so that we can get to do a small cocktail theme with outdoor photo sessions for the formal pictures. But if not, indoors would be fine too.. it's a really cosy small place, so that gives us the excuse for not inviting too many. Come to think of it, I should have taken some pix of the place so that I can tell my helpers what to expect. Anyway, I think I'll do that nearing the date cos I still need to see what else needs to be done at that place & to see if there's still that orange sofa. That could be pretty useful.
But we would still need to book more tables cos there's simply not enough. I still have to work out all the seating arrangements & programmes & watnots. Especially when all my helpers will be only assembled there on that day & will have to be briefed on the spot! Still too much things to do & I'm stressing beyond belief!!
The Sunday before last (04.06.06)
Firdaus & his 2 flying college mates, Reza & Nazrul, came for lunch. And as if I couldn't be smarter about my instincts, Les & Greg decided to drop by just as we were about to chow down. Imagine the chaos with 1 cook & 6 boys in the house, not knowing whether to sit or stand or play it cool...
Anyway, the 2 men didn't wanna have anything to eat, except for Les who didn't say no to my upside down banana cake. He even commented I've used bananas that are too ripe. ~sigh~ wat to do? He knows the recipe more than I do ~hint: sarcasm~
Finally had lunch & the 2 guys left after the boys, Kris & I finished our lunch. Reza ate quite a bit, which was really good to see... And the boys told me about their food in the college cafeteria. The muslims meals were all packed food that they'd commissioned someone outside the college to do! How pathetic!! Shame on u, Singapore Flying College!!! To think u guys are known to be one of the best!!
I made the boys Self-saucing chocolate pudding for dessert & we soon dashed off to drive Nazrul back to meet with the instructor before he goes off for the weekend. Then, we went driving, only to receive a call by one of their mates saying that they need the car to go somewhere! WHAT?! At least tell these guys that u'll need the car beforehand!! WAT CRAPPY shitheads!! But we went on to King's Park anyhow! tee hee...
Monday before last (05.06.06)
Supposed to make Aunty Jan & family Cerry Ripe Chocolate Cheesecake, but the entire process requires about 5hrs preparation, cooking & refrigerating!! i was so tired the night before schmoozing with Kris after the boys sent me home, and doing all the dirty dishes, that I don't have the strength to even get out of bed!!
So, we agreed to get them some gourmet ice-cream. I got them my favourite Connoisseur Chocolate Obsession & Viennetta. When we got there, Simone, Aunty Jan & Jess had already started lunch. That was so weird!! Cos they specifically told us to come AFTER 12... cos she was from Preston Beach... Anyway, I was happy to see them again. And we left just before they prepared their dinner. We had sandwich at home. And more cleanup!!
This weekend
No driving session again this week. How am I going to get my license?! hehehe... It was actually my fault... I was making that 5hr cheesecake mentioned above!! hehee... then, it was time for me to organise some dinner. Kris had been doing up his Delica as well as the backyard. It looks not too bad, actually. The Delica, that is.

So, I've gotta go prepare dinner AGAIN now... maybe will post more stuff later... but just don't bet on it. ~wink~
